Nancy O'Dell's debut position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
